Cannot connect to Sirius or XM with version 5.5.0

- This article Applies to the Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch only -

There is a problem that can occur if your router is blocking port 554 and preventing Pocket Tunes from connecting to Sirius/XM. Version 5.5.1 or higher fixes this issue so make sureyou have the latest version form the App Store.

We also detected that some routers are only blocking portions of the Sirius signal. It is very rare but it can prevent Pocket Tunes from connecting to Sirius or switching to the alternate stream for Sirius.

This is very rare, but if you are seeing a problem like this, try connecting on 3G or a different WiFi connection. If it works on either of those then it is very likely that your router is filtering out a portion of the data from Sirius. We have submitted a fix to Apple which will be available as soon as they approve it.

If the problem persists after that, confirm that you can connect and play Sirius or XM stations on your computer via their web player. If you cannot then you should contact Sirius/XM as your account may no longer support Internet radio playback. If the channels do play on your computer but not Pocket Tunes, please contact us in support.
