Playback of sporting events will depend on the radio station broadcasting the event. Stations that broadcast a game do not always have the right to stream it over the Internet.
For most sporting events and teams, you can do the following steps to find a station that is affiliated with the team or event:
- Go to the Search tab in Pocket Tunes Radio
- Enter the sporting event or team name e.g. "Phillies" in the search window
- Tap "Search"
- Select a station to play and see if the game is on that station. If it is not, press the "Next" button if there are more stations listed on the 'Now Playing' screen. Or go back to the Search tab and select another station.
- Repeat step 5 until you find a station that plays the game.
Not all stations that broadcast sporting events, have the Internet streaming rights for the game so even though the station might be listed as an affiliate, they may blackout the Internet broadcast. Unfortunately there is no way that Pocket Tunes can control that. Some stations stop their stream during the blackout, some leave the stream open but no sound while others repeat earlier broadcasts.
You will need to check with the station itself as to whether they will be streaming the game over the Internet or not.
