How do I tune into the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament (March Madness)?

- This article Applies to the Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch only -

*** Make sure your catalog is up to date as we have added more information for stations carrying the tournament. For information on updating the catalog, please see this Knowledge Base article.

NOTE: Not all stations that broadcast the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament have the Internet streaming rights for the game so even though the station might be listed as an affiliate, they may blackout the Internet broadcast. Unfortunately there is no way that Pocket Tunes an control that. Some stations stop their stream during the blackout, some leave the stream open but no sound while others repeat earlier broadcasts.

You can search in Pocket Tunes to find stations that may play the tournament games. Here is the best method to do so:

  1. Go to the Search tab in Pocket Tunes Radio
  2. Enter "March Madness" in the search window
  3. Then enter the state from where the team you wish to hear is located. (see below if you want to see what local stations are playing March Madness games)

=>> For example, for BYU you would enter: "March Madness" Utah
  4. Tap "Search"
  5. Select a station to play and see if the game is on that station. If it is not, press the "Next" button if there are more stations listed on the 'Now Playing' screen. Or go back to the Search tab and select another station.
  6. Repeat step 5 until you find a station that plays the game.

If you find a station that is playing the game, please send a tweet out with @PocketTunes in the tweet so that we can let others know about it, or let us know in support. Let us know what game you found and the Call letters of the station playing it.

If you want to locate a local station that is playing NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament games do this:

  1. Go to the Stations Page
  2. Tap "Browse By Country"
  3. Tap "Find Stations Near Me"
  4. Pocket Tunes will show you all the stations near you
  5. In the search window above the search results for the stations near you, enter "March"
  6. Tap "Search" on the Keypad

Pocket Tunes will then show you the stations in your local area that have the broadcast rights for the tournament. Again, please be aware that if they have the broadcast rights, they may not have the Internet streaming rights. Your station may blackout the game over the net.
