Pocket Tunes gives you the flexibility to add more stations on top of the thousands we include in the catalog. Here is how we recommend adding a station:
Step 1: Use Pocket Tunes Radio search function
Beginning with Pocket Tunes Radio version 5.1, we added the streams for most terrestrial U.S. stations to our catalog. So if you are looking for a U.S. radio station's stream, enter the name of the station, the call letters, the frequency, the city, or any combination of these in the search window. Pocket Tunes Radio has a list built into it of those stations.
If you are looking for a style of music or an Internet station, you can enter any search term you want and Pocket Tunes will return whatever is in the catalog that matches what you entered.
For example: You want a Boston station, you know it is 104.1 on the dial, but you don't know the call letters
First enter "Boston 104.1" (without the quotes), then tap "Search" in the lower right corner:

You then will see the results for that search

Tap on the result and Pocket Tunes loads the station and plays it

You can then save the station using the Add to Favorites button, Once in Favorites you can play it with one tap from there.
Note: The above also applies if you are looking for a certain type of station. For example if you were looking for some 'Chill' stations, enter "Chill" in the search window and Pocket Tunes Radio will display all the stations that are of the 'Chill' variety.
Step 2: If the station is not in our catalog, you can look on the net.
If you are looking for a Genre but not a specific station, we recommend either of the first two links on the Pocket Tunes Radio home page (tap the house on the web screen to see the Pocket Tunes Radio home page). RadioIO and Shoutcast both have a very good selection of stations.

A public radio fan? The link to the "Public Radio Fan" web site takes you to a great resource for Public radio broadcasts form around the world.
If you are looking for a radio station we recommend using "Tuned.mobi" for the U.S., U.K., Ireland and Australia. (For instructions on adding a station using Tuned.mobi, see this Knowledge Base article)
For Canada, there is a link to "Canada Web Radio" which has links to CBC among most other Canadian stations.
For Europe, there is "European Web Radio" with links for most European countries.
Once you have chosen where you want to go, you will usually be taken to pages with links to various stations on them. Pocket Tunes Radio currently supports WMA, MP3 and aacPlus. So any links for those formats should work in Pocket Tunes Radio.
Note that some web sites use the following icons to indicate these types of streams:

Tap on the link you want to use and Pocket Tunes loads the station.
Once the station is loaded, tap the "Add to Favorites" icon
. this will add the station to your "Favorites" so that when you wish to play it again, you can just tap on it in Favorites and Pocket Tunes Radio will load it.
