How do I search iTunes if the track/artist information is not available?

- This article Applies to the Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch only -

If you know the name of the track and/or artist (or even album) of a track that is playing but the station is not sending the names with the stream (some stations don't) you can still look it up in iTunes.

You can even look up songs or artists that are not even playing at that moment.

Here's how:

  1. In Pocket Tunes Radio, tap on the 'Search' tab at the bottom of the screen
  2. in the search box at the top, type in "itunes:" (without the quote)
  3. Beside "itunes:" enter whatever you want to search itunes for. So for example, you want to fine "The River by Bruce Sprinsteen.

    Enter, "itunes:Bruce Springsteen The River"
  4. This will give you all results related to "The River" by Bruce Springsteen. You can then tap on one of the results and you will be taken to it in the iTunes store on your device

Note, when you go to the iTunes store, Pocket Tunes has to close so your Internet Radio station will stop playing.
