NormSoft, Inc. Knowledge Base .: Mecrets .: What does "No confusing characters" mean in the Mecrets settings?

What does "No confusing characters" mean in the Mecrets settings?

- This article Applies to the Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch only -

For information on accessing Mecrets settings, see this Knowledge Base article.

"No confusing characters" means that when this is "On" Mecrets will not create any passwords that have characters that can be interpreted as more than one letter or number.

For example a capitalized letter 'O' can be misinterpreted as a number zero '0' or a capitalized letter 'i' can look like a non-capped letter 'L'.

By leaving this setting on, you ensure that you will not get any password with an ambiguous character.
