Upgrading from Pocket Tunes Basic to Deluxe, Windows Media Player still does not transfer WMA files, what do I do?

If you had Pocket Tunes Basic and then updated to Pocket Tunes deluxe but are still unable to transfer WMA files and/or protected WMA files, Windows Media Player may not be adjusting to the change in file types that Pocket Tunes can play in Deluxe mode.

Here is what to do:

  1. Download FileZ (available for free from www.nosleep.net) and install it to your Palm.
  2. Open FileZ and click 'View and Edit Files'
  3. Expand the folder for your SD card (click on the triangle beside the card name to expand it)
  4. Locate the Audio Folder and open it
  5. In that folder is a file 'WMPInfo.xml'
  6. Click on it to select it, then go to the menu of FileZ and select 'Delete' to delete the file.

Now try connecting again, you may have the device set-up screen pop up in Windows Media Player, complete it then try another transfer and it should transfer WMA files without an issue.

If you have any further problems please contact support.
