How do I make Pocket Tunes work with Vista/Windows 7 64 bit machines?

- This article applies to the Palm OS Only -

The Palm Desktop does not support syncing with the USB cable on Vista or Windows 7, 64 machines. Therefore you have to follow the steps below to have Windows install the driver for Pocket Tunes. You must use the hot sync cable to transfer files from Windows Media Player, Pocket Tunes Sync or any other media player.

1) You must turn off the Palm Hot Sync Manager off (exit). The icon on the application tray at the lower right of the screen is the best way to do this.

2) Then connect the USB cable to the computer

3) Turn on Centro and then start the Pocket Tunes application

4) Then connect phone to USB cable

5) Slight delay then the windows media player will launch

If you are planning on using Windows Media Player you can now transfer files to the device.

If you want to use Pocket Tunes Sync or a different media player, proceed to he next steps:

6) Close Windows Media Player

7) Launch iTunes and Pocket Tunes Sync. Or launch the media player you wish to use.

8) Then transfer desired files
