The first thing to do is make sure that Pocket Tunes is set to display all audio tracks available on your device.
- Go to Pocket Tunes, open the menu, select 'Actions' then 'Open'. (or enter the letter 'O')
- Make sure the drop down on the right hand side is set to 'All'.
- You should then see the folders 'All Content', 'Artist', 'Album', 'Genre' and 'Playlist'.
- If you don't, click the folder with the '..' beside it until you do.
- You can then either click on Album or Artist to navigate to the specific album you are looking for.
- When you open that album, you should see the tracks in album order. If you press 'Select All' the album will play back in track order.
- If you got to 'All Content' instead of the specific album, Pocket Tunes shows all your tracks in alphabetical order.
If you do not see your tracks in the All Content window then there are a few reasons why the tracks may not be visible:
- You have actually installed WMA files, which are not the same thing as MP3 files. If you used Windows Media Player it's possible that it changed the format of the files to WMA during the transfer. See this Knowledge Base article on how to change that behavior in Windows Media Player.
- If you are using a card reader, make sure you are copying the MP3 file to the /Audio directory on the card. (If the directory doesn't exist, you can create it.) If the files are in another directory on the card, you will have to browse for them from the "Choose Songs" screen in Pocket Tunes.
- Your evaluation period has expired. Buy a copy of Pocket Tunes from www.pocket-tunes.com to continue playing MP3 files. Make sure to enter your registration code into Pocket Tunes when you receive it.
- If you're using a Zire 71, make sure to install the Expansion card update: http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/zire71expansion_update.html
- It's possible (but unlikely) that there are problems with your SD card.
- Some filenames cannot be viewed on the Palm. Try using a shorter name, or remove any unusual characters.
