There are a couple of reasons you may not be able to enter your code. If you are using a Palm device that came with Pocket Tunes built in, please see this Knowledge Base article.
Be sure you are entering the code in a version of Pocket Tunes that you purchased. For example, a version 3 code will not work in version 4. If you purchased a version 4 code, you need to be sure to have the latest version of Pocket Tunes installed, or your code will not be accepted. You can download the latest version of Pocket Tunes here.
The most common problem is a simple error entering the code. Many users are not aware that they must tap the dotted line below "Registration Code" in the "About Pocket Tunes" screen before entering the code.
To enter your registration code, follow these instructions:
- Start Pocket Tunes on your Palm.
- If the registration reminder appears, do the following:
- Tap the dotted line or area above the "OK" button.
- Enter your 11-character Pocket Tunes registration code.
- Tap "OK" to finish entering your registration code.
- Otherwise, do the following:
- Tap the "Menu" icon or press the "Menu" button on your device.
- Tap the "Help" menu.
- Tap the "Register" or "Upgrade" menu item.
- Tap the dotted line or area above the "OK" button (if there is a registration code there already, highlight it).
- Enter your 11-character Pocket Tunes registration code.
- Tap "OK" to finish entering your registration code.
You should get a message thanking you for registering. If you do not you entered the code wrong.
The second most common problem is that you accidentally installed two copies of the software, perhaps one in main memory and one on the expansion card. If you do that you cannot register either copy because Pocket Tunes does not know which copy you are registering. Here's what to do:
Open Pocket Tunes and tap the Stop button. Tap the "home" button to go to your main applications screen. Tap the menu icon, go to the file menu then use "Delete" to delete Pocket Tunes from your device. Remove your expansion card, then reinstall Pocket Tunes. You can do that easier with our "English Windows Installer" from http://www.pocket-tunes.com/download.html if you do not have the necessary files on your computer. Once you have Pocket Tunes installed, try entering the code again with the instructions provided. It should work this time. Then reinsert your expansion card and you should be good to play!
