If I open a station in the Centro browser, how can I save it in Pocket Tunes so I can come back to it again?

For Palm OS only:

Applies to:Pocket Tunes 4.x.x and up
Deluxe
Devices:Sprint Centro ONLY
Computer Operating SystemNot Applicable

The version of Pocket Tunes that is included in the ROM, is not the default streaming program on your Sprint Centro. Therefore, when you open a stream from the browser it is played by the default streaming software, not Pocket Tunes. You need to update to the latest version of Pocket Tunes 4 to enable launching of a station from the browser.

  1. Download the latest version of Pocket Tunes from here.
  2. Install it to your Centro
  3. Open Pocket Tunes and go to the Preferences menu.
  4. Click the "External Media Prefs"
  5. Check the box beside "Handle Streaming Media"
  6. Press "OK"

You can then launch Internet radio streams from the browser.

Optionally, you can also create playlists of Internet Radio stations on your desktop and transfer them to Pocket Tunes. We have a couple of Knowledge Base articles relating to this.

To create a playlist using WinAmp, see this Knowledge Base article.

To create a playlist with a list of stations within it, using your browser, see this Knowledge Base article.
