Can Pocket Tunes stream these stations? (e.g. XM, Sirius)

Article applies to both the Palm and Windows Mobile operating systems

Currently Pocket Tunes supports MP3, WMA (as of Pocket Tunes 5) aacPlus and Ogg format streaming. At the moment we do not support Real Audio streaming formats.

In Pocket Tunes 5 most WMA streams are supported except mmsh which should be added soon.

Here are some stations we have the occasional inquiry about:

  • Live365.com - Streams MP3, supported
  • Shoutcast.com - Streams MP3, supported
  • Di.fm - Streams MP3, supported
  • RadioIO.com - Streams MP3, supported
  • BBC - WMA streams supported, streams in Real format, not currently supported
  • XM Radio - streams in WMA, not currently supported
  • Sirius Radio - streams in WMA, not currently supported

As long as the streams are in MP3, WMA (excluding mmsh format which will be added soon), aacPlus or Ogg Pocket Tunes should play them. If you are unsure, contact support.
