When I try to play an Internet Audio stream, on my LifeDrive, from the browser, it says "not enough memory", what do I do?

Note: the following article only pertains to customers who have a LifeDrive and are experiencing this problem. If you are not using a LifeDrive, please refer to this article if you are having trouble playing and Internet Audio stream from your Palm browser.

The "not enough memory" error message is actually a Blazer (the web browser on your Palm) problem unfortunately. Pocket Tunes has not even been started when that message comes up. It seems to have been made worse with the update.

We've found that another web browser, Xiino does not have the error and you can stream using it. Xiino is available here: http://www.mobirus.com/eng/products/Xiino/

Previously I had uninstalled Zlauncher and that seemed to alleviate the problem a bit but since the update I've found that it happens almost all the time no matter what I do. Some customers have reported that clearing the cache in Blazer has helped. (under Options/Preferences/Advanced in Blazer) We are going to look at whether there is anything we can do about the issue but because Pocket Tunes is not even started at that point it may be difficult to do anything about it.

What you could try, so that you can make sure Pocket Tunes is functioning properly is to go to Pocket Tunes, select the menu, then Actions, then Choose Songs. Set the upper right drop down to Internet Audio then click on the New button and enter this URL. It's for a Live365.com station.

Once you have entered it in, click okay and then select it and press ok to start up the stream. Within a few moments you should get the station tuning in, provided you have a Wifi connection to the internet.

If that works then Pocket Tunes is streaming properly and the issue is definitely with Blazer. Try the reset and if you have a launcher installed, try removing it to see if that makes a difference. Otherwise you may need to contact Palm for more suggestions.
