Why can't I make/receive phone calls while listening to Internet audio?

Whether you can receive a call while you are streaming Internet Radio depends on your device that you have. Note that streaming is different than surfing the net. If you are surfing the web or checking email, these operations typically only take a few seconds, after which you will be able to make or receive phone calls. However, with Internet audio, the phone is continuously receiving data from the Internet and cannot accept a voice call.

600/650/680 - These are not capable of receiving voice data and Internet data at the same time.

700p - The 700p from Sprint is capable of receiving calls while streaming.  To our knowledge the 700p from Verizon is not capable allowing calls through while streaming.

For 755p users, please check with your service provider.

For Centro Sprint you can receive calls while streaming.

With the 600 series, whenever you are on a voice call, you will not be able to access the Internet. Similarly, whenever you are accessing the Internet, you will not be able to receive a voice call.

Note that you can receive SMS messages while streaming.
