You can use WinAmp to create an M3U playlist that contains a link to an Internet Audio station or stations. Make sure you install WinAmp on your desktop before you proceed.
Creating the M3U file
On your desktop browser go the station you wish to listen to. Please note that the station must be streaming in MP3, AAC or Ogg format. Most stations that support WinAmp, stream in MP3 or AAC. Right click on the link to the stream, in Shoutcast this is the 'Tune In' button
In Internet Explorer choose 'Copy Shortcut' in FireFox choose 'Copy link location'
Open WinAmp and select 'File', then 'Play URL...'
Paste the link you just copied from your browser and press 'Open'
Once the station begins to play, select 'File', then Save Playlist
In the dialogue box that pops up, set the 'Save Type as' to M3U and give the playlist a name
Press Save
Transferring the M3U file to Pocket Tunes
The easiest way to transfer the file is to open Palm Quick Install
Find the M3U you just created
Drag and drop the file into the 'Expansion Card' window of Quick Install
Then HotSync your Palm
Playing the station in Pocket Tunes
Once the HotSync is complete, open pt
Go to the menu and select 'Actions', then 'Manage Playlists'
You should see the playlist listed there. If there is a magnifying glass in the upper right corner of the screen, Pocket Tunes is still searching all locations for playlists so you may have to wait a moment for it to display the list(s) you transferred.
Simply select the playlist, press select and the station will start streaming a few seconds later
