If you are using the Palm Pocket Tunes Basic version, you cannot play WMA files and they will not appear in the "Choose Songs" screen even if you install them on your card.

You may need to update your software to the current version and be sure to replace your current registration code with the new Deluxe code you receive in your order confirmation email by opening the "About Pocket Tunes" screen, highlight the old number and enter the new one.
